Troublesome stat shows the need for data backup during COVID-19

"Phishing attacks jumped almost 700% since coronavirus lockdowns.

"That worry has proven well-founded. Research reported in TechRepublic found phishing attacks skyrocketed 667% in March 2020, the month that cities and states across the country began issuing shutdown orders for businesses."

With many employees working from home and out of a controlled office environment, hackers are taking advantage. Phishing attacks have jumped an alarming amount in the last few months. Training employees to recognize phishing emails can help, but having a data backup plan in place will guarantee protection.
